In Montana you can never, ever say the word "wi*&". If you say something like, "Hey, the wi*& is not blowing you will really be in trouble!

The version of the bananna thing I have heard the most goes something like this: When the men went out to fish in the tropics they obviosly would come home with boats filled with fish if the fishing was good. If the fishing was bad the men would go to shore and pick banannas. So, having a bananna in the boat became a sure sign of bad fishing.
