Default Anyone tried the new high end Orvis rods?

Great, poor? Good, bad? Pretty, ugly?

The new ZG rods are very good looking. Fit and finish of the three rods I have handled was very good. The 8'6" 5 WT tip flex I cast was very comparable to a Sage XP. Those that like the Sage should look at a ZG tip flex rod. The mid-flex was close to a Winston BII X.

I cast a ZG in 8'6" 5wt, mid flex. My take on it was that it was a little bit stiffer than my BIIx and overall a pretty nice rod. While I didn't cast the tip flex version, though even the mid flex brought to mind "XP"....

I cast the 5 weight, must have been a tip flex as it seemed kind of stiff.
It was nice looking and tracked like a razor, other than that, it is far from 'zero gravity' (catchy name though) and didn't bring much to the dance.
