    Default My Boo Rod

Not long ago I built a small boo rod with a lot of help from Harleybob, Well I have been looking at a lot of reels and lines to match with it. I finally made my decision and yesterday I picked up what i think is the best match, I would like for you all to tell me what you think.

I got an Orvis Battankill Bar Stock I, with a Cortland 444 Wf3f Silk line. I will probably never see it again but we did put 50 yards of backing on it. Thanks John
I wish you all everlasting flies and tight lines.

Hello John. I think you made a good choice with your reel. I personally like orvis reels, never fished this model though, looks like good value and good looks. Would like to get one of those for myself!
    Tight lines,

Excellent choice in reels. I like the way you chose a reel that will complement the pole you built. The sylk line is a good line. Wish I lived closer so I could see that set up in person.
