    Default Getting My Thrills

    Chris et al,
I get my thrills at the same time you do, only its different. You are anticipating what is going to happen. For me it is that same moment, after a good cast, well placed and well mended. I am not waiting in anticipation but I am enjoying that moment where I have just suceeded in doing the best I can and now can enjoy the results of my labor, a well placed fly and line, fly drifting without drag right in the lane as I had hoped.

Maybe the difference is that you have reason to anticipate a fish on the end of your line and my experience has been less fruitful. For you it is the expected result and for me that result seems more like a pleasant surprise.

    Jed !!! Hiya !

Oh, ... Fishing for Atlantics is a pretty low percentage activity!!

The anticipation is more on those RARE occassion when the darn animal ACTUALLY takes the fly up until the moment that I actually feel the weight of the fish deep into the butt of the rod!

The longest 3-5 seconds one can experience with 'yur clothes on !!
