How Can I Manage Private Messages?

well, in the end, thanks to your suggestions, i have resurrected a small spiral notebook and put it to use:

in there i write down addresses or links or other notes worth keeping that folks have sent me. then i delete the messages carefully one by one, as John suggested. i have named the notebook "Invisible Friends", since that is what my family calls y'all.

in one case, i tried copying and saving one as a WORD document, and whaddayano! it worked. thanks, Kirk.

Best Fishing Buddy says that all of this saves FAOL from storing untold numbers of messages that no one really needs any more, thereby saving room on the server. sounds good to me.
