Lieutenant General Harry W.O. Kinnard, retired, U.S. Army, has passed away. Lt. Gen. Kinnard was 101st Air Borne officer that suggest the defiant reply of "Nuts" to the German surrender demand during the Battle of the Bulge. He was a United States Military Academy, West Point graduate in 1939. He made the D-Day jump with the 101st. He was a highly decorated officer and, to me, a real hero. He was 93 years old. The General had served honorably for 30 years.

AIRBORNE, SIR!
