I shorten the life of every mosquito I meet!
The man who coined the phrase "Money can't buy happiness", never bought himself a good fly rod!

Default The only good mosquito is a dead mosquito

Good article. Now if they can universalize it and apply that technology to curtail West Nile Virus too. Jim

I guess that will produce a smaller span of time that the mosquito dry fly will be effective? And what about the time of the hatch? Will that change as far as the time of year it happens too? I live in Texas so I tend to use a size 4 mosquito pattern quite frequently during the summer.

Of course since this is a "green" way of messing with nature it's OK..........................
Good fishing technique trumps all.....wish I had it.

I like the article, no mosquito is a good mosquito!! I can appriciate anyone who is looking out for every body with those devilish creatures. Keep your line in the water but the skeeter off your skin!!!

I recall two separate hikes I have been on, when the mosquitoes tormented me. I logged their favorite haunts in my memory, so as not to visit them anymore.
    I hate those dam things!

Actually Jim, a size 4 is about perfect because the fish dont usually eat the whole real mosquito. Although I did see one carry off a small dog over the summer. He was wearing a red flannel shirt and cowboy boots, haha. Seriously though, their not near as big here as they are in Korea.

Quade, I have fished for sandies at Eagle Mountain Lake over by Azel. Had to carry a shotgun for protection from the skeeters. Jim
