Simple Mylar Minnow:

#10 3x long
Small Braided Mylar Cord
Chartruse Thread
Small Stick-On Eyes
Epoxy

Cut a 2" piece of mylar cord, remove the inner cotton cord and singe the ends with a lighter to keep it from unravaling. Slide one end of the mylar tube over the hook eye and secure with thread and glue or head cement. Build a body over the hook shank (You can add a piece of lead if you think you need to get deeper quicker) then invert the mylar tube back over the hook shank. The mylar should fix snug over the built up body. I tie off over the outside of the mylar at the bend of the hook. Fray the tail end of the mylar tubing. Stick on two eyes then cover the body and head with epoxy. You can add extra color with permanant markers after the epoxy dries.
