As in Hungarian Partridges - out our kitchen window about ten minutes ago.



This is the current year brood of a mated pair that we've had around our place for the past couple years. Eleven all together. Considering the number of cats and hawks in the vicinity, it is quite fortunate that all have survived to this point.



In case you haven't had the opportunity to observe huns in a "domestic" setting, they are the kings of the yard and the feeding stations. No matter what other species of birds are around when they arrive, they dominate the scene and always eat where they want to eat.
