    Default Alder Fly

I had a bit of trouble yesterday posting this.
I have a new laptop with a larger screen,
but I am still not 'au fait' with it.
    This is my umptieth attempt.

I enjoyed the article on the Alder,
here is a wingless version from the
    West of England.

Body: Peacock herl ribbed with two strands
    of unwaxed claret tying silk.

Donald : I'm glad to see that you are posting again . Hope all is well with you . A friend of mine from Scotland who has lived in Newfoundland (Canada) for years now still uses the classic English and scottish trout flies with great success.........Frank

    Donald,

Lovely fly, as always. Does the larger screen help with the eye problems?

Donald, seeing your post was a pleasure. I hope that you are doing well and are able to tie again. My thoughts and prayers have been with you.

Thank you, J.Walsh, EdD and Ron.
Actualy, the eyes are about the same,
but I am getting used to my sight limitations
and the new wider screen helps a lot also there is a vry good zoom facility.
I hope to start tying again soon,
maybe I'll try a swap, I'll do a trial run first,
then sign up for the swap when they are completed satisfactoraly.

When I saw your first post this morning, I thought it was my eyes. Thanks for re-posting. I was hoping to get a glimps of your fly. I will certainly be tying some as I am a great fan of wingless flies. Good to hear from you again. I hope the new computer works out.
