I hear that these are no longer made so thought I would put a pic up for those that never got to see them. Wish I had a full doz even though I'll never tie on them. Take a look! James

LOL!! They look pretty big till you scroll down and see the dime sitting there!
Trouts don't live in ugly places.
A friend is not who knows you the longest, but the one who came and never left your side.
Don't look back, we ain't goin' that way.
Ok, now that you have the hooks....try tying some!

Those finished flies are just a little bit bigger than the screw head holding those scissors together. You must have excellent vision. Great job! 8T

John:
To the best of my knowledge those Tiemco 518 size 32 hooks are still available. Tiemco also still shows them on their website. I hope so because I use them all the time.
There was an even SMALLER size 32; a true proportional size 32 that make those Tiemco 518's seem huge. It was the now defunct Mustad 277 that was so small it had no eye! It has been discontinued for years. Partridge also had a size 32 Vince Marinaro hook that was about the size of the 518 but with a down eye and a longer shank.
Thanks for the info. I had heard about those with no eye but that was way before my friend got me into this nasty habit. Don't know if I'll tie on these or just keep them around for conversation.
John:
Check out this thread.
On the 2nd post Hans Weilenmann has a picture of those Mustad 277's!
Mato, that is an absolutely beautiful picture. The composition and clarity are professional. Thanks for sharing it with us.
