And thank you for your service.

I was just a weekend warrior who intended to put in 6 and get out. Funny how time slips away. Twenty three years later I was selected for non-retention. Spent most of my time attached to the 1/108 ACR roundout for the 1/3rd and 2/3rd ACR. Made a lot of good friends many who I still keep up with. The recent engagement has made me very proud of my NG roots. There a thread about what's on your window or bumper, there a retired Army and USA flag on my pickup.

My old boss took a round through his calf in SE Asia flying a slick; one of my college roommates retired from the Army / MSARNG as a IP before he had a fuel governor malfunction flying for TVA with 11,500+ hrs.; his best friend was shot down three times flying dust before he took around through the leg in Vietnam. My last 1st SGT had to call artillery on to his own position when he was a grunt. I have friends who were heroes, I am thankful to have served with many good men and glad they made it back from their service.

Hoooah!
