Metolius River Or,
We Drove across the boarder into Oregon to flyfish a Blue Ribbon Trout stream the Metolius. Its a spring creek and I've been wanting to fish it for a few years and this was the best opportunity we've had. Rented a cabin ahead of time (slow season rates) and had the whole week to fish and catch some monster trouts.
well........i kinda got skunked!
it was good weather we hiked the trails and enjoyed the scenery. There was very little insect activity and i only saw one fish rise to a pale mayfly. Sometimes i wonder why i have to be a dry fly fisherman?
We packed up early and headed for home. cranked up the tunes and set the cruise its about 6 1/2 hour drive with 3 turns
