    Default Magnetic flies

I have a bit of a problem here. I have approx 2 dozen flies where it seems like the hooks are magnetized...I kid you not. At first I thought it was my tweezers, but I placed a paper clip near one and it jumped right to it. Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks.

Old secret chant should work here. Lay them out and with your right hand on top of your head, slowly circle your left (counter-clockwise of course) over them thirteen times while repeating out loud, "IMANINKOMPOOP", also thirteen times. Finish them off with a demagnetizer from the hardware store.

whats wrong with them being magnetized? i imagine that could come in handy if you dropped them and can't find them.

Ha Ha Ha very funny, I think it will work better if you also do it standing on one foot!
    All the best.

    JC,
I'm shocked. You forgot the willow switch cut during a full moon by a virgin.

    Default Magnetic hooks

All kidding aside, most of my hooks come packaged with a strip magnet in the zip bag. I use a magnetic dish on my tying station to keep hooks and other small pieces of metal from getting lost. If metal lays on a magnet long enough it becomes magnetized by 'osmosis'. That's my word for it. An educated person probably knows the real word. Check the package your hooks came in. You might find a magnet. I also use those strip magnets that are glued to the labels with the hook size in my hook/parts compartment box to keep them seperated and easy to pick out according to size and shape. Just my penny's worth. Jim
