I fished the RR yesterday. It was a bit nippy in the morning at 30 degrees but warmed up to the mid fifties by afternoon. It was a good day fishing. I don't keep track of numbers but caught fish all day. I started out fishing with wolly buggers and caught a couple but the going was slow so I switched to an egg pattern and caught several. Then i switched to a midge patterns and caught several more. By late morning i noticed that my strike indicator was getting a lot of attention so I decided to try a dry fly (elk hair caddis pattern). There wasn't a caddis hatch at the time in fact I dont think anything was hatching but the fly worked great. The rest of the day I fished dry flies and caught a multitude of fish - the larget of which was about 3 lbs. I love fishing dry flies. There is nothing like watching the water boil up under your fly to get your heart pounding and your adrenaline up.
