    Thumbs up Visitor from Utah

    Must be winter ??

Last Saturday, the weekly Saturday morning fly tying demos at Jimmy's All Seasons Angler in Idaho Falls kicked off with one of our local tiers.

This week, the guest fly tyer was a visitor from Utah.

That would be Joni aka Fly Goddess. Joni tied an interesting variety of flies, from size 32 midge dries to size 4 4x long streamers to a very interesting mouse tied from foam and muskrat zonker. Also some Henry's Lake favorites, in the way of bunny tailed wooly bugger patterns that have done well for her up there.

The picture shows Joni demonstrating the proper rigging of a bobber ( her word, not mine ) for fishing long mono leaders ( up to 30' ) for fishing stillwater on or close to the bottom. Hope you don't mind, Joni, but I couldn't resist the bobber photo.

Joni with our host, Jimmy Gabbetas. A really creative, artistic, and capable fly tier with one of the nicest guys you would ever want to meet, who just happens to run one of the best fly shops anywhere.
