I know that someone said that it is the same as sending a text message. On my account text messaging is one charge and data messaging is another. It cost a buck to send a picture if you don't have the data package. I know it doesn't cost the service provider that but they get you at every corner if you don't buy the fancy package for you phone.

The point is, make sure you know what the costs are from YOUR provider before you let the kid send pictures to all of their friends and then you end up with a bill that you could buy your next fly fishing outfit with because you didn't know that they were charging you an arm, a leg and a fly fishing outfit to send a few pictures.
