I had a 6-7 bass pro rod I was going to give away but had a 14 yr old move in on the 1st down street.Young man lost Dad in Iraq and 2 yrs later had to evac New Orleans.Met him when I heard the monster (75 lb basset)being played with in front yard.Got to know him and his mom. He saw the canoe the rest is history. After permission was obtained we loaded the canoe(kids strong)and off to the lake we go.Took about 15 min to get the basics down and we were off.
He brought in the big fish 1 1/2 lb LMB on a Clouser. He now has a Bass pro 9 ft 6-7 mid flex with a Shackspere reel and SA bass bug 7 wt line.
He's HOOKED or as the old adage saysHook LIne and Sinker, AKA Fly tippet and leader!!!
Now hes talkin about mowing grass to support his habbit and help buy gas flies ect.
I'm just glad the wife doesn't have to lift on the canoe and I get company on the water!!!!!
