Fearless flyfishing?

I've got to disagree with the "wading upstream part" to an extent here. Wading can release numerous midges and sow bugs into the water and make fish "turn on" also.
I sat and watched trout after trout after trout feeding in water inlet one time. They were stacked in there and taking turns. I asked my guid friend why they were there. He said watch this.
He picked up a rock in the small inlet stream and showed me the midges on the bottom of the rocks. Then he said watch all the people walking across this inlet. I watched.
Numerous midges were being liberated by the folks walking on the rocks and floating in the inlet and then into the stream. It was amazing.
Ever since then I make sure to kick up a little bit of the rocks when wading and throwing some midges. Works great.



Sorry have to 'disagree' with another. Many Doctors have to carry their cell phones with them to remain in contact with the office, hospital and ancillary staff. Doctors can be sued for 'abandonment of a patient' if they don't. A technicality there but thought I mention it so others don't get mad at Doctors(And Lawyers) and other professionals that carry theri cell phones with them while fishing and golfing. I leave mine on vibrate and take the call in a discreet locale.
