    Default Doughgod's Daughter's Halloween Cake

Well, I'm certainly one proud Daddy tonight. Our middle daughter, Krissy, won First Place in the Dessert category at her company's Halloween luncheon today. She's not much of a baker, but was smart enough to follow the recipe and make the cake look like the picture on the recipe website that I sent to her...

Yep, it's a "KITTY LITTER CAKE" with Tootsie Rolls on top of the cake. Like Father, like Daughter.

Oh, BTW, she doesn't own a cat, and all the components shown were purchase new the day before she baked the cake.

    Smile I've been out done!

    Hey Joe,

I once made a cheese-spread rat that had its head caught in a real rat trap and a serving knife stuck in it's back. I've been totally out done by your daughter. You must be a very proud father. Happy Halloween! 8T

I've believe that you always need something to differentiate ourselves from the masses. When she showed me what she was entering in the contest, I suggested an alternate plan to insure NOBODY would be able to touch her in the competition. It worked, and she came out on top of the ordinary pumpkin cookies and other orange & black concoctions. Her backup entry was a plate of these spider cookies:
