I read that St. Croix has come out with a new version of the Imperial rod they produced several years ago. I have the old Imperial and I've always enjoyed it. I'd like to build on the new blank. Help is appreciated.

The Imperial was St Croix's first graphite rod in the early 80's. The current Imperial is just a SCII blank with retro components.

Don't think the new technology has reached the SC II blanks yet, the SC III were redone I believe last year.
