I noticed that TFO is a sponsor here so I thought I'd post this little message:

I just bought a TFO Lefty Kreh Professional rod in a 4wt 8'6" 4 piece configuration at Cabelas. I got it as part of a combo with the Cabelas SLA reel.

I am REALLY happy with this rod. It's incredibly light and very responsive. It certainly has a different personality than my 7'8" slow action graphite non-name rod that I've been using. I can cast it further and more accurately already. A buddy of mine can cast it into the backing. I can't quite get it that far.

The balance of the rod and reel combo is wonderful. As I hold the rod it balanced on my middle finger. I can cast it for a few hours (and I have) and I don't feel fatigue in my arm or shoulder.

The SLA reel, by the way, is also pretty darn nice. When I reel it in there is absolutely no resistance at all. It's completely silent. When I pull out line the drag doesn't so much kick in as simply "appear".

I'm happy. I haven't caught a fish on it yet, but I love the way it feels.
