San Juan River

Off for another 4 day's of fishing the Juan. Can't wait to get on the water and enjoy some great weather.

Anybody fished it lately or have some good reports?

I'd like to be there myself. October is reputed to be the busiest month on the river. I've fished it in October, but prefer mid May.

If I were there this time of year, I'd try to float down low and fish deep in the pools with big ugle stuff like streamers and wooly buggers to try to get into the big browns. You definitely need a boat for that or access to private property.

Definitely would like to be heading to the Juan & pounding the Texas Hole !!!!! From what I've heard, it has been some real hot fishing !!!!!!!!!!!
