    Default Kayak Trailer

I lost a lot of business last season because I could only accomodate two other kayakers. I could only put three kayaks on top of my vehicle. And I was hesitant to make long trips down the Interstate with three kayaks on top.

So, I bought a kayak trailer that holds four. Got it for $775. It's easy to load and the kayaks are really easy to tie down. I now have more peace of mind when transporting the kayaks. Additionally, I can now take groups of three.

Where did you get the trailer, Steve? I might need something like that if my family decides they want to kayak with me!

    Dave,

I bought it here in Sarasota at Barry's Trailers. It's a Contenental, so you could probably find them anywhere.

I have been thinking of building a trailer for towing my two yaks.

Just curious what are the specs of your trailer?

Length, width, weight, type of metal, storage box?

Does it ride smooth in the back of your vehicule

    Can you post a pic?

    Have a great weekend,

Trailer is approximately 16-feet long. You can see the width; just a typical small-boat trailer. It's made out of galvanized aluminum. Yes, it rides very smoothly. I did add bearing buddies to the hubs.

BTW, I was added to the Native Watercraft Guides Program today. And I order a new Native Ultimate 14.5 Solo which is due to be shipper Oct. 17.

Thanks! I've been part of the Heritage Guides Program for a couple of years. I was among the first to be added to the Native Watercraft Guides Program. FYI, Native and Heritable are owned by Legacy Paddlesports, so there's no conflict.

I'm headed for the 'Glades in the morning. Give you guys a report when I return.
