I don't think this political, if it is delete it.
A hot topic in the recent news is raising the age for getting a drivers license from 16 to 17. The stastics (?) show 16 year old drivers are involved in a high rate of accidents, and several States seem to think raising the age requirement will solve the problem. I have seen nothing reported as to WHY 16 year olds are poor drivers!!
Experiance is a factor as well as training. I feel that if we do not improve our training of new drivers we will just see a high rate of accidents involving 17 year old drivers!
Of course when I received my license it did not come with a car, which seems to be the trend today.
Anyway I just don't think this is the answer!
