That really looks fantastic! I can't imagine it would be much fun to cast (if you even plan on fishing with it).

Hi guys, thanks for your kind messages, here is how it is done, if needed I can elaborate mor on any step. first you have to cut a satainless wire 2.5 times the lenght of the fly, then you tie one end to the hook, then you give it the general shape of the fish, usisn monofilament you add small tags to the fins which are made of swiss straw folded in 4 and varnished, tie the tags to the wire skeleton, then using foam, you make a smaller version on of the fly which will give the volume, and tie it or glue it to the skeleton, then using raffene you star covering the skeleton make sure you tie it in at the nose and use 17/0 thraed so it won't be visible, then just varnish the raffene and paint.

Great job. Here is my version of a bluegill, tied with Polaris N.E.W. fibers.

Largemouth Bass and Stripers hammer this thing! This particular fly has caught 31 fish, so far. All I've had to do to it is re-glue one eye back on.

What do you think of the polaris tying materials?
