Nice smallie I wish we had them down here
Tig, nice fish, good looking water too! I'm glad you posted, I never thought about warm water in Canada...lol When I think of Canada waters I think of Salmon and Trout. I guess you can tell I'v never been there...
Tig - Have you ever fished La Reserve Beauchene? Just across the Quebec border NE of North Bay.
To Miss Nancy - She hated fishing, but loved a fisherman.
Never have. But if it is the area I think it is, then I did do a little research on it. If it is the area I'm thinking of then it is a lot of private land and "special club members only" area. The reason I was looking in this area was for the brook trout fishing.
Really nice smallmouth! I have done really well with them back home in MI but down I haven't done quite as well. Though I have found a few. The one nice thing about being in the south is there is almost always open water! None of that ice stuff.
Probably shouldn't say anything but ...
When I read your post title I just couldn't help but sing your anthem!!
Pictures are beautiful!
Trouts don't live in ugly places.
A friend is not who knows you the longest, but the one who came and never left your side.
Don't look back, we ain't goin' that way.
Nice fish. I just got back from Northern Ontario about three weeks ago. Smallmouth that big are few and far between on the lake I fish. Caught enough 13 to 15 inch fish to keep me happy. That river in the first picture reminds me of the Grand below the trout area.
