I was cruising through the thread about where to fish in the Black Hills, and I noticed a couple of pictures of Al Campbell tying flies. He was tying in front of his portable tying box. A really neat affair that folded out and stood up with everything he needed. I had the pleasure of tying at that box when I met Al at one of the Idaho Fish-Ins. I tied a really bad SWHAPF. Then he showed me how easy it was. I still miss Al and probably always will. He was one of those rare fellows who was easy to meet, and you would become instantly proud to know. So, I'm curious about what ever happened to his portable tying box. It belongs in a museum.
Anybody know?
