Sage VT2

Hello Everyone,

I am sure this subject has been hashed out and rehashed. Has anyone got to cast the VT2 yet? I was curious what everyone thought of the rod. I really enjoy my SLT, but I am thinking for getting a 4wt or 3wt, and was wondering what actions the VT2 had. Thanks for all of the help.

The regional Sage rep. was at my local fly shop this last weekend....I just happened to stop by at the right time. He brought in the VT2 in 3,4,&5 WT. 4-piece rods. I cast the 3&5 Wt's. Very nice rod. Sort of reminded me of the SP. As far as action goes I would say med fast. In between a SP & XP. I beleive it is going to retail in the $400 range. Seemed to fit my casting style well and I would recommend it.

Thank you for all of the information. The Price range seems just right, as well as the action. I like a med - fast rod, so that might fit the bill as well. Thanks again for the info.

mike, if you really enjoy your slt then get another slt. the vt2 is a nice casting rod but not as responsive as the premium sage rods. its a lil on the heavy side but hell, for under 400 bucks you cant beat it.
