Wink A Guide to the Salmon River T.M.A. Connecticut

    July 29, 2008

    A Short Review of

A Guide to the Salmon River Trout Management area

    Written By

    Howard Ridley

I am hopeful to be the first of many to give this Guide a favorable review.

Mr. Ridley has been fishing the Salmon River for many years and decided to write a guide to the Trout Management Area to help his fellow fisherman.

Thui is a very informative guide with a vast amount of knowledge of the area put in an easy to follow format for both the new comer to the area as well as the seasoned

    Salmon River Angler.

The guide lays out the pools and the access points for the majority of the T.M.A.

A map is included as well.

The guide has a hatch chart to help you match the hatch and anticipate what insects etc to expect to encounter on the river and at what time of year.

Mr. Ridley touches on the history of the river as well.

    And much more!

The guide has good illustrations and is an easy read.

The guide is available directly from Mr. Ridley at the nominal fee of $10.00

I recommend you consider purchasing the guide as an introduction to the T.M.A.

Mr. Ridley will be the speaker at the August S.R.A.A. monthly general meeting.

On Thursday Aug 14th at 6 PM

The meeting will be at the former fireman's field picnic pavilion down stream of the route 16 bridge.

    For directions call 203/435/7948

Mr. Ridley will be talking about how he came to write the guide and give insights on the process it undertook.

He will also be sharing his insights in person on fishing the Salmon River Trout Management Area.

Copies of the Guide will be on hand for sale and Mr. Ridley will be very happy to sign a copy for you as well.

Please come out and join the S.R.A.A. for this informative meeting and in support of

    Mr. Ridley's Accomplishment.
