The Whiting brand hackles are desended from Henry Hoffman's birds. The Hebert-Miner brand is desended from Harry Darbee's birds. Personally I prefer tying with the Hoffman/Whiting hackles for their excellent stems but the Hebert-miner hackles come in a wider variety of incredible natural colors. You can't go wrong with either.

    Thumbs up

There is also a difference in cost. The Hebert/Miner, in their lowest cost PRO grade, are a very good buy. I bought several in colors not available elsewhere.
P.S. I have no interest in this except as a satisfied customer.
