The Southern "hmmmmmmmmmm" actually can have 10-12 h's and as many as 72 m's. It may take as long as two and a half minutes to complete the entire utterance. Don't even ask about the "Deep South hmmmmmmmmmm!" 8T

I can't spell it either. That must be why I tie almost exclusively on Mustad hooks; it's the only brand I can spell.
It sounds like you had a pretty easy choice in selecting a hook since you are probably limiting yourself to dry fly fishing for trout? It's a much harder question for those of us who fish a variety of flies for a variety of species. I would have selected a smaller hook size for trout but went up to a size 8 for LMB, SMB, crappie and a little saltwater fishing. Obviously, I would like to have gone with a larger size for saltwater fishing. The trick for me is covering all my bases with one infielder and no outfielders. Take care, 8T

size 12 kamasan B170 medium wire, can use for dries, weight it for lures and heavy nymphs, and I recon at a push it could take small pike or saltwater fish
#4 streamer, 2x strong. Big fish like big meals would be my reasoning.
I thought only California, Oregon, Colorado and New York were zen states, no?

Size 8 streamer hook. I mainly warm water fly fish and I throw a lot of buggers and the sort. Big enough for some good bass and small enough for big panfish. I've used more size 8 streamer hooks than any other hook.
Go catch a fish,
