Since you mentioned it, you're right. If "the car" was parked where it always was, my picture doesn't make sense. It would have been slightly uphill/ West of the Friendly Store and on the same side of the road. In any case, "my car" looks too new. Maybe it was the cop that arrested me for speeding in Carbon County and I showed my disdain by sitting on his hood just before being handcuffed, tazed and pummelled to a froth ( you know, bladder control and memory being the first things to go).
I just looked at my sons WYO plate 89" and it reminds me that the car ( with red coffee cans for lights) in your first picture was there then including a mannequin cop with some obscenities written all over his torso.
In any case, Centennial is a super little town and ,as you mentioned , great folks. We often drove into Centennial and then " over the hill" into Saratoga to fish "Treasure Island" on the Platte and other remote streams along the way.
Like I mentioned before, THANKS for bringing back many pleasant memories.
