    Default Arkansas???

I'm looking for information on trout fishing in Arkansas and southern Missouri. Like the White river and it's tributaries.

I,ve recently retired, and have heard a lot about this fishery, and finally have the time to try it.

Are there any good campgrounds in the area, and can this area be fished without a guide?

    Thanks,

    Tom R

The white has high water, they are running 8 generators around the clock since June.
Norfork has been turning off the water every evening and has wadeable water every morning.
If you need more info drop me a line at krauseb@suddenlink.net I'm 15 min. from the white and 20 min. from the Northfork.

Yes, they blowing a lot of water on the White below the Bull pond. I'm headed to Norfork in a couple of weeks for that morning wadeable water..

Catman-- You may not be able to follow through with that plan. Word up and down the river system is that when Greers Ferry hits 463 they will cut back generation on the Little Red to 12 hours on and 12 hours off. The reaction to that action is supposed to be cranking up the Norfork and running it hard.

Greers should hit 463 in the next 7-9 days.

Our plans were in 2 weeks but, as you say anything can change. I heard all of the pools on the White river chain won't be down until late Sept or the first of Oct.
Below Beaver dam it looks like a napalm bomb went of after they opened the gates up on March at 700,000 CFS as I remember for 4-6 hours.
