2008 Fly Fishing Hall of Fame Inductees

Livingston Manor, NY- On October 18, 2008 the following individuals will be inducted into the Fly Fishing Hall of Fame: Ed Van Put, Francis Betters, Art Neuman, George Griffith, Dave Whitlock and Ed Zern.

The Fly Fishing Hall of Fame is located in Livingston Manor, NY, at the Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum, hub of the fly fishing community. The Fly Fishing Hall of Fame was established to recognize those who have made a significant contribution to the world of fly fishing.

The induction ceremony and reception will be held in the Catskill Fly Fishing Museum at 3:00 PM, everyone is welcome. A special recognition dinner will be held following the induction ceremony at King?s Catering in Livingston Manor, NY; cocktails at 6, dinner following at 7.

In addition to honoring our new Hall of Fame members at this special dinner, Bob Boyle will receive The Lee Wulff Conservation Award and Dick Talleur will receive The Poul Jorgensen Golden Hook Award. David Klausmeyer will announce the winners of Fly Tyer Magazines 30th Anniversary World?s Biggest Tying Contest, and Mary Dette will share some precious moments on the early history of the Dette?s, making this a very special evening.
