Talking Recipe for Grobert Cripple / emerger

This is a fly created by Matthew Grobert and published in Fly Tier's Bench. Use hook size and dubbing according to whatever mayfly emerger you are creating.

    Hook: #16 Tiemco 2487 or 2488
Thread: yellow 3/0 monocord; yellow 6/0 monocord
    Tail: dark amber Z-Ion
Rib: brown 3/0 monocord touch-dubbed with brown dubbing.
    Abdomen: Yellow 3/0 monocord.
    Thorax: Yellow dubbing
Wing: Caribou hair (tied in using 6/0 monocord - since caribou hair is very light and cuts easily, don't use threads finer than 6/0.)

The fly I tied in the picture looks pretty scraggly after playing around, but I think it made it look more buggy.

    Enjoy!
