Does anyone use a nymph rig fly box (like the one from Orvis)? Do you like it? Thanks in advance. RR

There was a previous thread several months ago, I believe on this ( FAOL ) Forum, that I think was on the subject you are raising. If you scroll back through the threads for the past three to four months, you should run across it. There were folks very much in favor of preassembled nymph rigs for a variety of reasons, and some not so favorably disposed to them, like yours truly. There were also some alternatives to the Orvis version of a nymph rig fly box.
If you can't find the thread, let me know and I'll take a look.

The fish are always right.
Thanks, I'll check it out. RR
I just tie on a nympth and fish it with a strike indicator. In moving water, I cast it upstream, work it, and when it gets close to me, I roll cast it back upstream.

Not sure this really answers your question. If not, you might want to start a new thread ??

I'll often use a tandem rig consisting of a Parachute Adams with a high vis pink parachute #12 as an indicator fly and a #14 nymph (colour is dependant on what I find underneath rocks) at 1.5 the depth of the water I'm fishing. This gives the fish the option of dry or nymph, a smorgasboard and it works for me.
