I finally got out to the creek down my road. It was about 85, sunny with a passing cloud every few minutes. I wet waded up to my waste in my shorts.
Water was clear but warm in the slower areas.

First getting in up to my waste, I had a minnow and a redbreast sunfish pecking at my leg!
Then I tied on a red san juan worm with some lead on it, and hooked a nice smallmouth. It measured about 9 inches, which is decent.

Then I put on a red yuk bug under an indicator and dropped it in a tree that fell in the water. Guess how big? 8 inches? Pardon the close up, but its 2 inches.

Then while still using my yuk bug, I drifted it through the area below.(photo not taken today, but nothing changed)

After a few drifts I got a big hit and saw a big white belly. 5 more drifts and nothing. I tie on a SJW, let it drift 3 times, and I have him. May not be much, but I was talking to REE, and he said to nymph that area. He was left over from the stocking in may.
