Panfisha restocking isn't the half of it. All of that sediment is a permanent degradation of the stream bed and there is no replacing the wild trout that were destroyed except to wait for the stockers to reproduce... if they can find any gravel. Much of the cover and habitat improvement will have been washed away by the flood. In many ways this was a better river for those who like to fish in solitude than the Au sable but it can't survive repeated abuse of this sort. Sorry if this is incoherent .
