I was inspired by The simple ants that Rick created to tie this one. It is very simple to tie. I just call it a Blue Dragon Fly. Thanks Rick I always appreciate your suggestions and help. John

I wish you all everlasting flies and tight lines.
Nice tie John. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you and most of the credit should go to Rick as the use of the material was his idea. John

Nice dragon fly. I can see an answer to my semented tail hex pattern. Wont be long now till we see the first non-skid shelf liner swap!

Thanks Greg, and I agree I can see that coming up by someone. John

bassman....how about tossing it in some water and letting us know how it lands....does it float upright?
I've tied something similar...not this material but with damselfly type wings and there were some issues re: how they would land.
Duck I just did that, I tossed it into a bowl of water 5 times each time it landed upright when thrown from about a foot away. It is still floating upright after approx. 10 mins. Of course I am sure it would also depend on the hook you use. This one is tied on an Eagle Claw. LO52 size 6 hook. John

I really like the looks of that fly John. I just have to know how it will fish. Please let us know.
Thanks,
Sean
Thanks Old Man GO IRISH!
I will be going out this week end I hope and will let you all know how it turns out. John

Beautiful creation! Would you tell me where I can obtain the Whisper wrapping material?
Thanx
