Clouser Floating Minnow

Normally, you can find instructions on how to tie just about any fly somewhere on the internet.

I haven't been able to locate instructions for the Clouser Floating Minnow any where. The thing I'm wondering about is the underbody. Is there anything special about that?

It's hard to tell whether there's a trick to tying the the underbody that I don't know, or it's just my lousy tying skills.

don'tknow if there is an under body?? looks like red krystal flash is all thats needed.

add a tail of bucktail, red kflash for gills and glue 2 foam spider bodies together then glue on the eyes.

I think you must be right, I never looked at the kit, although it did come up in a google search.

It has been a few years since I ordered anything from Clouser's fly shop but I think they may still sell just the tying instuction sheets from the shop.

No underbody, just tie on a red throat, then two colors of bucktail, on top of the hook. Then glue the bog bodies together.

For detailed instructions, buy Clouser's book. I have it and it's very good. I am tying several patterns from it, including lately his swimming nymph which I am going to use for carp.
