Turkey Feathers
I recently acquired an almost whole turkey. It's minus the breast meat. I told a guy I would take one if he got one during the season this year, but after several turkeys, he never gave me one. So he had one today and I was not expecting one. Or rather, his son had one.
I have plucked and skinned and tried to get as many feathers off as I could, but I don't know if I should treat them with anything or not. I also have the whole tail and wings. Any suggestions on how I should take care of the feathers? Also, should I leave the wings and tail as they are, cure or treat them, or just pluck the feathers out?
