I have an old pair of bootfoot waders with felt soles. I'd like to lend them to a friend so he can get started with some fly-fishing. Problem is, however, that one of the felt soles has started to peel back from the toe. About five inches has now separated from the rubber boot. Many of the repair kits come with new felt, but the felt is still in great condition (and I'm a tightwad who doesn't want to spend twenty bucks on new felt). So.....

...Any suggestions on how best to repair them? Would a healthy dose of 5-minute epoxy after some roughing up with a steel brush work? Let me know what's worked for you.
