Was going to go up to Henry's Fork today for some streamer fishing. The weather report for St. Anthony at noon was 36F feels like 23F with the wind out of the SSW at 22 gusting to 27. I thought, well, that's not ALL that bad, so I got out the fleece and was headed for the garage when I looked out the kitchen window and saw the storm moving in. For a while it was a blizzard. After an hour or so of horizontal snow, the wind shifted from the WSW to the NW. From the garage, it looked like this.

Figured it would be worse in St. Anthony than down here so I put my gear away.

So I thought I would see what was going on here on the BB, and saw a post that reminded me of a question I've been meaning to ask.

At what point do you put a fish on the reel ??

The answer seems obvious for certain species - large steelhead, salmon, bonefish, stripers, etc - when they put YOU on the reel. But what about trout, bass, and other fish that are more likely to be under, say, 25" ??
