Weight forward line

A friend just recently gave me a 5 wf line. I would like to put it on my reel but the sticker that tells you which end of the fly line goes to the reel is missing. Can anybody tell me if there is a way by looking at the line which end goes to the reel. Thanks

one end is tapered the other is not. the long straight untapered end is spooled on the reel first.

Put the long skinny end on the arbor...or use it as a level 1 weight.
