    Default Rick's Simple Ants

There is one major problem with tying this pattern. It is too dang simple. I started to tie a few and now have ants all over the place.

    Default It must be simple

Rick's ant must be simple if you can tie it without a recipe.........

Joking aside, a recipe would be nice

    Tom:

Go to the main page of FAOL. In the center are the words "Simple Ant Pattern". Click on the words & the pattern should come up.

It actually looked too difficult to me. Just go buy some of those match stick bodies from Rainey's.

Tie it down in the middle. Wrap a hackle around it. Cut off bottom of hackle. Go fish.

My wife has the shelf stuff all over the house....very simple [and less expensive than Rainy's]....the steps are then both similarly simple.....same for flip flop plugs.....

Thanks, Rick, for a fun idea

Exactly, where is the fun in using the Rainey's foam? Much better to keep sneaking clips off the shelf foam and see how long it takes the wife to notice.

Fishy Frank: It might take a day or two. Rick sent me a 2 inch by 2.5 inch piece of the red foam and I calculated that is enough to approximately 100 ants.
