Default NEED HELP with a hook!!!

I acquired a boat-load of tying materials at a garage sale this weekend. In the tackle box was about 2 dozen boxes of Mustad hooks. One box was full of Streamer hooks.

    Here's what it is:

I have searched the Mustad "database" for the number of the hook with no results found. I have been unsuccessful tracking down the characteristics of this particular hook.

    Please help!

    Thanks in advance,

    Scott

If you can edit the title to include the word Mustad, perhaps it will catch Dr Fish eyes and he'll answer your question. Dr Fish real name is Jeff Pierce who is the No. American Sales Manager for O. Mustad & Son (USA) Inc.

It's not 3 times extra long. It's 3XL, meaning it has the shank length of a hook 3 sizes larger.

OK -- take your pick. The 38941 is listed as a 3 extra long shank mudler, bugger bass fly kook. Another lists it as a Nymph,Streamer hook. BILL

Question Not trying to steal your thread.......

But what other goodies did you get from this sale? Just curious. It sure sounds like you cleaned up. 8T
