    Default Monday's Destination

This is the destination for Monday.

    Central Mountains Spring Creek

Typical brookie - bows run somewhat bigger

Great 3 wt small dry / dropper fishing. A real change of pace from throwing big nymphs on big water with a 7 wt the past six weeks.

This is one our year round streams - all the lakes are open all year. Most streams and rivers are open from Saturday of Memorial Day weekend through the end of November. But we do have a lot of other year round rivers here in SE Idaho - the South Fork and most of the Henry's Fork, and some open beyond the general season through the end of March.

About the only reason not to fish year round in this part of the state is the weather, and that is just a matter of how cold you can stand.

You do have some great country to fish in over your way. That side of the Cascades is just beautiful, warm and dry compared to the west side. Will probably be through there some time fairly soon, on the way to Seattle to visit my daughter. Will be looking for some ideas on where to fish ??
