Alright...I think this is where this should go. Apologies if it needs to be somewhere else....

Our local fishing group, the Salmonid Preservation Association for the Waters of Newfoundland, is having it's annual dinner and auction in the near future and as a member of the board of directors, I've been trying to procure donations of items.
As I know many of you fine folks on here have been involved in just such activites, I was wondering if anyone had some advice to pass along, free or best offer, on tactfully approaching prospective donors, such as fishing supply companies. I feel like "my game is a little weak", so to speak and any advice that might help would be appreciated.

Thanx folks,

Brad
