I received the following PM recently, as I have great difficilty
in using the PM facility, qnd cannot be sure I have sent a reply
correctly, I have posted here.

"Dear Donald
I recently bought a nice watercolour by an artist called Ethel Baynes Badcock painted in 1908. In trying to discover a bit more about her I found out that she had exhibited four paintings at the Royal Academy in 1906 (The Duke of Argyll, The Duchess of Argyll and Peggy and L Graham-Clarke) and whilst trying to discover more about her found this link (below) which seems to suggest that LJ Graham- Clarke lived at Glanrhos. You may well know this already but from your dial.pipex website it was not clear if you had discovered this.
I am a novice flyfisherman having fished once at Balmoral on the Royal Estate as a young man I recently went on a fly day in Lechlade and had a splendid time in good company."

Dear David
I do not know much about L. Graham-Clarke, but I believe he had
the fishing rights at Glanrhos on Wye at the turn of the 19th/20th
century. The family lived in Frocester Manor in Glos., for many
years and appear to have been severely diminished by the two world wars. Have a look at http://www.dtnicolson.dial.pipex.com/page120.html
I am having a bit of trouble with my eyes just now,
but if you want to contact me use:-

Give any e-mail the heading 'Glanrhos'.
